“With this springtime illustration, I wanted to evoke the freshness of the season and the new life it brings to a garden. I used bold, bright colors and hid many little bugs and creatures to make the piece feel fun and brimming with life.”
Kate O’Hara is a freelance illustrator currently living in Reno. She graduated from the illustration program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa. in 2014. She creates nature-inspired illustrations that draw people in through their nostalgic moods and intricate details. Her work is created by combining colored-pencil drawings with digital coloring. She has worked for a variety of clients such as Cirque Du Soleil, Scholastic, Paramount Pictures, Hasbro, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
